Prerequisites

  • PADI Rescue Diver certification (or qualifying certification) completion of Emergency First Response® Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months

  • Minimum 40 logged dives

  • Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months.

  • Minimum age: 18 (15 for Junior Divemaster)

  • Course Duration 4 weeks

Q: Do I need my own equipment for the course?
A: It's more comfortable and convenient to have your own gear once you become a diving professional. If not, Melibe offers rentals. ✨ At least bring your own mask and fins, right?

Q: What language is mainly used in the course and daily practice?
A: The course and internship are primarily in Chinese. It's helpful to know basic English to communicate smoothly with other dive shop staff.

Q: Do I need to carry tanks?
A: You won’t need to transport tanks over long distances, only from the dive shop to the truck and assisting divers at the shore.

Q: Are there internship/work opportunities after the course?
A: If you'd like to gain more experience, you can stay and work in exchange for accommodation.

Q: Can I continue learning to become a dive instructor after the course?
